What is Rally O?

suzanne | April 12th, 2010

Rally O is a new fun sport for you and your dog to take part in together.

Rally O like circuit training for dogs, combining obedience exercises with agility.   Dog and Handler negotiate a course of between 10-20 stations with different exercises to perform, for example sit-down-sit, U turn, spiral right, send over jump  and Halt-sit-walk around in a set time.

Handlers are allowed to encourage and praise their dog as much as possible without penalty.

All dogs, purebred, mixed breeds and dogs with disabilities are encouraged to participate.

Here at Paws Galore we run Rally O courses throughout the year.  We have found that many of the Handlers and dogs taking part really have fun.

People who work their dogs in agility find their dogs really benefit from taking part in Rally O because it teaches the dog to be more controlled and not over excited when doing an agility course and it teaches the Handler how to gain that control and bond even more with their dog.

Contact us if you live close to Bishops Stortford and would like to find out more information or enrole on the next course.

We have a short video on our training page demonstrating a Rally O course.
